Starting a Daguerreotype Collection: A Propaedeutic Introduction
Although it’s not particularly my cup of tea, there are quite a few Daguerreotype collectors out there in the world. The only Daguerreotypes that I own are those that I’ve made myself so I don’t have very much to say about the hobby of collecting old photographs.
This blog, however, does. In particular, author TheresNoTylerDurden posted an interesting account of his meeting with one Greg French. The aptly surnamed Mr. French is a Daguerreotype collector of some years and shared his insight with the author on the rewarding activity of Daguerreotype collection. Enjoy the article, I did.
