Site update & Gallery News
My sister pointed out that my site was not particularly friendly to those of you using low-resolution monitors so I have redesigned elements of this site to be more friendly to visitors using 1024×768. Since I was tinkering, I decided to revamp the navigation header since the old one was getting on my nerves and was incompatible with low resolution displays.
I dropped off five brand new cased Daguerreotypes at Through This Lens Gallery today. Roylee, the owner, is planning to show them in January. The magazine article in CRAFT should be coming out around the middle of January too!
The Daguerreotypes that I dropped off are, of course, really cool but I’m particularly proud of this batch of cases. Of the five that I dropped off, no two have the same case style! On display will be Daguerreotypes in brown leather, black leather, maroon leather, bird’s eye maple, and figured walnut. The Daguerreotypes include a new landscape of the American Tobacco Campus’ Lucky Strike water tower, an abandoned railway car, a study of seashells, the Hula Girl (in a nice new case), and the Eiffel Tower image. Come by the gallery and have a look at the final products!
