Allergy Identified; Plans for new Cases

6-15-2006

I have fully recovered from the attack of the killer allergen. It turns out that the Tigerwood that I bought to make case frames with is a known skin irritant. Consequently, I’ve switched to using red oak.

I’m going to be attending a weekend workshop in New York in August on Gold tooling on leather. I have plans to make Daguerreotype cases that resemble small books complete with gold illumination and titles on the cover and spine. Cool, huh?
