The danforthsource has expanded and will be going live with a new off-shoot. My full-time career is engineering audio/video systems for KONTEK Systems in Durham, NC. Recipients of my business cards are directed to the main domain for links to the two major facets of my working life. The information contained in the updates to the photography portion will now become more particular to the subject as the new AV Engineering news section comes online.
In photography news, I spoke with two people today about studio space in downtown Durham. I will be working with a man on a project to develop several thousand square feet of space into a working/teaching arts studio with a primary mission for education. The new darkroom will accomodate simple demonstrations on wet-process technique while another fully digital lab will accomodate more elaborate demonstrations of modern-day digital imaging. I will probably be teaching or assisting in classes on digital photography in the new facility. My hope is to sway the youth of Durham to the art of Daguerreotypes but us weirdos are a select few.
