A Bit of a Holiday

Because I’ve moved jobs, states, and houses, I’ve been rather preoccupied. My parents treated the whole family to a week-long vacation on Edisto beach from which I’ve just returned. I haven’t had a vacation since my honeymoon two years ago and the occasion was quite pleasurable!

During the past week, I had the pleasure of reading about the advent and collapse of human civilizations courtesy of Jared Diamond. I read Collapse two weeks ago and waded part-way through Guns, Germs, and Steel over the holiday. Once I get around to putting up a bit of a statement about my artwork, you’ll probably understand the themes that I am building on and how they relate to these fascianting books.
