Night Photography
12/5/2004 11:03AM:
I was working on a comission last night in downtown Columbia. The comission was to photograph the Kline Iron & Steel building from my Urban Landscape perspective. It’s been a while since I walked around a demolition site; I found it refreshing! I’m very excited about processing the film and printing the results. It’s probably sufficient proof that I love what I do when I’m more than happy to stand in a demolition site downtown in 36 degree weather making a series of fifteen to thirty minute exposures.
While I was out last night, I came across an abandoned power station by the river and behind the State Museum. I like the building quite a bit and am also very excited to print that negative! I used a 55mm Mamiya at f/22 for 25 minutes, I’ve never used that lens before… here’s hoping.
